Luc Polglaze

Luc Polglaze joined the Kenyon coaching staff in July of 2019 as the wide receivers coach. He came to Gambier after spending two seasons as the running backs coach at Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

During the 2019 campaign, Polglaze coached freshman Andrew Schnarre who finished in the top six in the NCAC in yards receiving per game and receptions per game.

At Catholic, a freshman led the team in rushing both years Polglaze coached. Additionally, the starting running back led the team in receiving yards in 2018.

Polglaze began coaching in 2016 with stints in semi-professional football, before joining McKinley Tech High School as the defensive backs coach. He contributed to a defense whose eight interceptions were third most in the DCIAA and featured the leading tackler in the DCIAA. The Trainers earned a playoff berth in his one season at McKinley Tech.

Other stops in his coaching career included work as the interim defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach of the D.C. Woodland Tigers (2016) and as the special teams coordinator/defensive backs coach of the Capital City Seahawks (2016).

Originally from Colorado, Polglaze began his football career as an NFL journalist in 2012. He covered the Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL Draft. Some of his work was featured on FOX Sports, Yardbarker and Inside the Pylon.

Polglaze earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Colorado in 2013 with a certificate in leadership.
