Nate Wilson

Nate Wilson was hired to Kenyon's football staff as an assistant coach in August 2023. He took on duties as the Owls quarterbacks coach and retained that duty, while adding on the title of video coordinator in 2024.

In 2025, Wilson continued his two roles role as an assistant and also oversaw the development of the team's wide receivers. By the end of that season, Wilson was promoted to offensive coordinator. In 2026, his fourth season with the program, Wilson serves as offensive coordinator with a focus on quarterbacks and running backs. 
 
Prior to joining the Owls, Wilson worked at nearby Capital University, a fellow NCAA Division III institution, where he coached running backs and tight ends during the 2022 season.

While his work at Kenyon has been strictly on the offensive side of the ball, Wilson has experience coaching numerous position groups. His resume shows experience coaching quarterbacks, running backs, tight ends, and wide receivers, as well as defensive line and defensive backs. He served as the offensive coordinator and coached quarterbacks and running backs at Madonna University, an NAIA institution in Livonia, Michigan, during the 2021 season, the school’s first football season. Over the 2019 season, Wilson was the defensive backs coach at his alma mater, Bluefield College, an NAIA institution in Bluefield, Virginia.

With a coaching resume that spans more than 20 years, Wilson has been a member of high school, NAIA, Division II, and Division III staffs over his career. His experience began in 2005 and includes multiple stints in West Virginia with stops in California, Missouri, and North Carolina.

As a coach, Wilson has recruited and developed multiple all-conference athletes, overseen multiple record-setting players and teams, and has coached three players who made it to the National Football League.

During his own collegiate career, Wilson was a quarterback at Fresno City College and Concord University. He received a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and management from Bluefield and a master’s degree in recreation and sport sciences from Ohio University.
