Tom Lachendro is in his fifth season at Kenyon. He'll coach the defensive line, a unit he's worked with since joining the Lords in 2016. Additionally, he'll continue his role as the team's special teams coordinator and serve as the director of football operations, as well.
During the 2019 season, he coached Nathan Fanta who finished third in the NCAC with eight sacks.
Originally from Scotland, Lachendro's prior coaching experience included roles as the defensive line coach/assistant defensive coordinator at his alma mater, the University of Glasgow, as well as spending time in training camp with the Great Britain national program as an assistant defensive line coach. In 2015, Lachendro formed the East Kilbride Pirates women's team and continued as the club's head coach through their inaugural season.
Lachendro's playing career included six seasons at the University of Glasgow, where he earned team MVP honors three consecutive seasons. He also spent two years with the East Kilbride Pirates adult team, earning Lineman of the Year honors for the 2015 season. In the spring of 2015, Lachendro was selected to represent Great Britain at the collegiate level and traveled with the team to Finland for an international friendly fixture that same year.
Lachendro completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Glasgow in 2014 with a degree in physical geography and continued to attain his master's degree in earth science in 2016.
