Matt Horwitz joined the Lords basketball program in the fall of 2012 as the interim assistant coach. Horwitz came to Kenyon College from St. Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City, N.J. where he spent two years on the boys’ basketball team coaching staff.
Following his graduation from Colgate University in May of 2010, Horwitz served as an assistant coach on the freshmen team before being promoted to the head junior varsity coach in 2011-12. His duties with the basketball program included scouting and coordinating offseason lifting programs and basketball workouts.
While earning his bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Colgate, Horwitz spent two seasons as the head student manager for the Raiders men’s basketball team. He also accumulated coaching experience as a regular at the Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp.
