5159Brett Wetzel enters his third season as an assistant coach with the Kenyon College men's lacrosse team in 2018.

Last season, the Lords offense ranked as one of the best in the country. They averaged 15.08 goals per game, 9.1 assists per game and the Man-Up offense scored on 44% of their opportunities. Kenyon earned 3 All-NCAC selections in 2017.

In 2016, helped the Lords reach the NCAC Semfinals, earn 6 All-NCAC selections and 1 USILA All-American. 
 
Prior to his time at Kenyon, Wetzel began his coaching career as the assistant coach at Albion College. He had been with the Albion program since it's second season of existence, and over the course of five seasons their win total improved each year while recording double digit wins in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The 2013 and 2014 seasons saw the Britons finish as conference runner-up. The 2015 season culminated in the program's first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship, first NCAA Tournament bid, and their first NCAA Tournament victory. 

Before beginning his collegiate coaching career. Wetzel was a four-year starter at defense for SUNY Potsdam from 2005-08. In 2008, he was selected to represent the North squad for the USILA North-South Senior All-Star Game.
