Joe Perruzzi

Joe Perruzzi comes to the Kenyon men's lacrosse program this season after a one-year stint as an assistant coach at The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) – Essex branch in Baltimore, Maryland. In his one season at Essex, the Knights were Region XX Champions and reached the NJCAA Final Four. Perruzzi worked with the defense and was head of strength and conditioning for the lacrosse program.
 
Prior to Essex, Perruzzi was the head coach of the MCLA Division I Ohio University Bobcats during the 2012 season. In his one season coaching at Ohio, he led them to their first winning record since joining MCLA, as well as their first CCLA playoff berth in the program's history.
 
Prior to his time at Ohio, Perruzzi played four years of college lacrosse at NCAA Division II Belmont Abbey College (N.C.), where he earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management. There he was a three-year starter as a defensive midfielder and played in two Conference Carolinas championship games, winning one in 2008.

While coaching and attending Ohio University, Perruzzi earned his master’s degree in recreation and sport sciences with a concentration in coaching education.
