Jennifer Dowsey enters her fourth year as assistant coach for the Ladies. She came to Kenyon from Virginia, where she last served as a personal fitness trainer and assistant softball coach at Osbourn High School in Manassas..
Previous to her experience at Osbourn, Dowsey was a graduate assistant coach at Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois. She coached with the Panthers softball program for a year as the outfield coach, academic coach and strength and conditioning coach, while also studying for her master's degree in education of coaching.
Dowsey is a Texas native and was an outfielder and team captain during her playing days at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. While she was a student-athlete, Dowsey simultaneously served as the student-assistant for the program and had the opportunity to begin her coaching career while earning her bachelor's degree in exercise sports science and psychology.
During the summers ,Dowsey serves as a trainer and coach for obese youth at residential weight loss centers across the country.
Now at Kenyon, Dowsey's main duties will be to focused on outfield play, as well as serving as the program's strength and conditioning coach (ISSA certified).
