Rosanna Sguerra, a former assistant at Denison University, was hired as head coach of the Kenyon College volleyball team in July of 2020.
In three seasons as an assistant at Denison, a Division III institution and fellow member of the NCAC, Sguerra helped the Big Red to a combined 44 wins, including an 18-8 record in 2019. Last year, Denison advanced to the conference championship match. She assisted in the development of six All-NCAC honorees, while collaborating with head coach Carter Cassell, a former Kenyon assistant and the 2019 NCAC Coach of the Year.
Prior to her work at Denison, Sguerra served as a graduate assistant coach at Otterbein University, another NCAA Division III institution. In one season, the Cardinals posted a 16-14 record and made an appearance in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament. Her coaching resume also covers two years as an assistant at Columbus School for Girls and five years of work at the club level.
A native of Columbus, Sguerra graduated from The Ohio State University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in Spanish. At OSU, she was a four-year member of the women's volleyball club and served as club president and team captain during her senior season.
