Parmelee’s goal is all Lords need at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio – Saturday night at Oberlin College a combined total of just 13 shots were fired. The Kenyon College men's soccer team took nine of those shots, scored one goal, and pulled out a 1-0 North Coast Athletic Conference triumph over the host Yeomen.

The game's lone goal came off the head of junior midfielder Andrew Parmelee  At 33:57 into the first half, Kenyon sophomore Alex Christoff sent in a crossing pass from the left side. When his pass neared the goal mouth, Parmelee got off his feet and headed it into the Oberlin net. The goal was the first of the year for Parmelee and it snapped a three-game scoreless drought for the Lords.

The win pumped Kenyon's records to 5-4-2 overall and 1-0-2 in the conference, while the loss dropped Oberlin to 7-3-1 overall and 2-1-0 in the NCAC.
