ADA, Ohio – The Kenyon College Ladies volleyball team could not get its attack together Wednesday night and suffered a 3-0 setback against the powerful Ohio Northern University Polar Bears, who registered a tidy 25-8, 25-21, 25-14 non-conference win.

Ohio Northern (17-3) held Kenyon (3-10) to its second-lowest hitting percentage of the season (.063). Juniors Mary Jo Scott and Sierra DeLeon did manage seven and six kills, respectively, but no other Kenyon player had more than four. To their credit, the Ladies did improve their attack percentage from the first set (-.143) to the last (.226).

In addition to leading the team in kills, Scott racked up a team-high nine digs. Hannah ShankMcKenzie Mitchell, and Bella Stachowski each added seven digs. Shank also dished out 18 assists.

The road ahead doesn't get any easier for the Ladies, who will head to Springfield, Ohio on Tuesday for a conference contest against the defending national champion Wittenberg University Tigers.
