GAMBIER, Ohio – The Kenyon College volleyball team's rivalry game at Denison University on Saturday afternoon turned into a one-sided affair. The Ladies could not get their offense off the ground and the Big Red coasted to a 25-16, 25-16, 25-15 North Coast Athletic Conference victory.

Kenyon's kill leader was junior Kaitlyn Power, who totaled five. Sierra DeLeon, Mary Jo Scott, and Katie Goulder each added four kills to the Ladies' total. Junior Hannah Shank served up assists on 16 of the Ladies' overall total of 20 kills.

Early in set one, Kenyon kept pace with Denison (18-6, 6-1 NCAC), but ten straight points served up by Emily Marguerite made a 7-4 score into a 17-4 margin. Another long Big Red run in the third set sealed the deal. With the Ladies trailing 16-14, Denison closed thing out with a 9-1 run and captured its seventh win in its last eight matches.

Defensively, Scott chalked up a team-high nine digs for Kenyon and McKenzie Mitchell added seven.

The Ladies (1-20, 1-6 NCAC) have three more matches left in the regular season. They'll travel to Ohio Wesleyan University on Wednesday and then compete in a tournament at Transylvania University next Saturday.
