No. 13-ranked Cardinals get by Ladies, 3-1

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Sierra DeLeon racked up 17 kills and Hannah Shank dished out 35 assists, but it wasn't enough for the Kenyon College Ladies volleyball team to keep up with the No. 13-ranked Otterbein University Cardinals. Kenyon did manage to steal one set from Otterbein, but the Cardinals ended up with a 25-17, 25-16, 19-25, 25-20 Wednesday night, non-conference victory.

DeLeon's 17 kills give her a total of 137 for the season and 855 for her Kenyon career. That mark moved her into eighth place among Kenyon's all-time leaders. Maggie Beeler '00 currently sits in seventh place with 866 career kills. In addition to her kill output, DeLeon also had a season-high 14 digs against the Cardinals.

Shank, a junior who now has 1,769 career assists, has racked up 30 or more assists in five of the Ladies' last six matches. She also chipped in Wednesday with three kills and three blocks.

Kenyon senior Mary Jo Scott posted a match-high 16 digs and junior Kaitlyn Power added a season-high 10 kills for Kenyon, which slipped to 0-12 this season.

Otterbein, winners of five straight, improved its record to 14-4 with the win.
