MEADVILLE, Pa. – Eight different Kenyon women's basketball players scored on Wednesday night as the team notched its sixth consecutive win in a 65-42 North Coast Athletic Conference game at Allegheny College.
 
The Ladies (7-1, 3-0 NCAC) were fantastic on the offensive end shooting nearly 46 percent from the field while hitting a season-high 53.8 percent from three-point range. Defensively, Kenyon held the Gators to their lowest field goal percentage mark of the season (25%), its second-lowest point total and blocked a season-high six shots.
 
Paige Matijasich, 
Jessica Gerber and 
Ifeoma Archimalo combined to score 43 of the team's points while outscoring the home team in the process. Matijasich tallied 16, Gerber added 15 and Archimalo contributed 12 points and notched a game-high four steals. 
Sharon Hull registered seven points and a team-high eight rebounds while 
Lane Davis chipped in with six points.
 
In the first, Allegheny (3-4, 1-2 NCAC) led by as many as four points on three occasions with its last coming at the 3:13 mark after Kayla Pinkney scored a layup. Down 12-8, freshman 
Clare Kelley brought the Ladies to within one as she scored on her second career three-point shot. Archimalo later hit a layup to bring the count to 14-13, Gators.
 
After shooting 5-for-16 in the first, Kenyon came back in the second and connected on 11-of-17 attempts. Over the first 6:45 of the period, the Ladies went on a massive 21-6 run hitting nine of their 11 shots. Matijasich scored eight points during the run which was capped off by Davis' layup with 3:15 left bringing the score to 34-20. By the end of the quarter, Kenyon had outscored the hosts 25-11 and led 38-25 at halftime.
 
In the third, the Gators got to within single digits once, 38-29 after a layup by Madison Caufield, but the Ladies responded with six straight points. Later, Matijasich scored in the paint to push Kenyon up 15 again, 51-36, and that score remained into the fourth.
 
Kenyon then closed the deal in the final period outscoring the Gators 14-6 while holding the home team to 0-of-14 shooting.
 
Next on the schedule for the Ladies is a trip to Case Western Reserve University on December 8 at 7 p.m.
