Ladies split matches in day two of Battle at the Point

SANDUSKY, Ohio -- Kenyon Ladies Volleyball moved to 2-4 after they split today's matches at the NCAC/MIAA Battle at the Point. Kenyon lost the first game to Saint Mary's College three sets to none, but regrouped and beat Olivet College three sets to none. The Ladies return home Tuesday for a matchup against Otterbein University at 7:00.

Match 1

Kenyon started the first set strong taking a 4-0 lead before St. Mary's came back to tie the game 5-5. The first set continued to be a run of streaks of both teams before St. Mary's pulled ahead to win 25-21. The Ladies came out strong once again, jumping out to a 6-1 lead before St. Mary's fought their way back into the set. A timely five point streak proved to be the difference in set two as it ended 25-23. Kenyon continued to fight in the third set but came up just short, 25-22.

Match 2

After a short break, the Ladies took on Olivet where they continued to start strong. The first set saw Kenyon leap out to a 9-0 lead.
