CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) revealed its annual All-NCAC teams for men's basketball on Thursday and Gefen Bar-Cohen represented Kenyon College on the all-conference squad.
Bar-Cohen was a consistent force for the Owls, earning a spot on the All-NCAC Third Team for his contributions. The big man started a team-high 23 games with 24 appearances, and he led the Owls in scoring (15.1), rebounding (6.5), and blocked shots (1.0) per game. The Kenyon offense ran through the sophomore in more ways than one, and he was second on the team with 1.3 assists per game.
In addition to leading the Owls, Bar-Cohen was among the NCAC's best in a handful of categories. The Princeton, New Jersey, native ranked third in the conference in blocks, fourth in rebounds, and seventh in points per game. He also shot the ball at a 46.7 percent clip, which ranked third on the team and 11th in the NCAC. In conference contests, Bar-Cohen averaged 14.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game.Â
Bar-Cohen helped Kenyon start the 2022-23 campaign with a 5-1 record, which was the program's best since a matching mark to open the 2008-09 season.
