GAMBIER, Ohio -- Playing in the Jasper Tennis Center on Friday afternoon, the Kenyon College men's tennis team, currently ranked at No. 7 in NCAA Division III, whipped through a 7-0 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) victory over the visiting Tigers from Wittenberg University.

The triumph improved Kenyon's overall record to 14-2 and its conference mark to 3-0. On the other hand, Wittenberg's loss dropped the Tigers to 1-14 overall and 0-3 in NCAC play.

The Owls gained their first team point against the Tigers by sweeping the doubles matches. Gianluca Bocanegra and Rohan Sriram paired up for a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles, while the duo of Jay Kedar Dixit and Juozas Cioladis produced the same score at No. 2 doubles.

At No. 1 doubles, Paulo Pocasangre Kreling and Alejandro Gonzalez came away with a 6-1 win. Gonzalez sat out singles play, but Pocasangre Kreling went on to record a 6-1, 6-1 win over Wittenberg's Ethan Libby in the No. 1 match. Pocasangre Kreling is now 15-0 in dual-match singles play.

Kenyon got straight-set shutout wins from Bocanegra at No. 6, from Kedar Dixit at No. 5, and from Rakkan Audeh at No. 3. Sriram took the No. 4 match, dropping just one game, while Rishil Kondapaneni did the same at No. 2.
