Owls sweep Bishops in senior day bash

Box Score GAMBIER, Ohio – The Kenyon College men's tennis team held its penultimate home match of the season on Saturday afternoon, taking on North Coast Athletic Conference foe Ohio Wesleyan and honoring the 2025 senior class in the process.

The Owls cleaned up in singles and doubles en route to a 7-0 sweep to remain perfect in the conference.

The No. 2 flight of Jay Kedar Dixit and Josh Finkle dispatched their doubles opponent in just 24 minutes to give Kenyon its first victory 6-1. One minute later, the No. 3 pair of Rakkan Audeh and Rishil Kondapaneni turned in a 6-0 victory. Paulo Pocasangre Kreling and Eric Zhang picked up the final winner in the No. 1 flight to wrap up the doubles sweep 6-4.

Alejandro Gonzalez sat out the doubles portion of the match but picked up a quick victory in the No. 1 singles flight, winning 6-0, 6-0. Zhang turned around from his doubles victory to take a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the No. 3 slot, finishing second overall. Rakkan cashed in a time of just over 45 minutes, bringing in a 6-0, 6-1 victory to push the Owls past the four point margin in the fifth flight.

Not far behind in the sixth flight was Rohan Sriram, who turned away his opponent in the sixth flight 6-1, 6-0. Juozas Cioladis finished his sweep in 56 minutes in the fourth flight, winning 6-2, 6-0. Finally, coming in at just over one hour, Kondapaneni cranked out the final Kenyon win of the afternoon in the second flight, winning 6-3, 6-2 to solidify the sweep.

Before the match, Owls players and fans honored the 2025 senior class, which includes Eric Zhang, Rakkan Audeh, Rishil Kondapaneni, and Christophe Leblanc.

Next up, Kenyon will head to Granville, Ohio to take on #3 Denison University on Wednesday, April 16 at 3:00 pm.
