LIGONIER. Pa. -- The fall season came to a close on a sunny Tuesday afternoon at Laurel Valley Golf Club for the men's golf team of Kenyon College. The Owls finished up in third place overall shooting 887 (+23) only trailing No. 6 Carnegie Mellon University (879 (+15)) and the victors No. 3 Emory University (875 (+11)). The No. 2 ranked Owls stood ahead of many talented programs in an 18 team field including No. 1 ranked Huntingdon College.

Adrian Jordan and Rafael Frias IV both shared a 16th place finish in a 90 player field for the Owls. Both Owls shot 223 (+7) through 54 holes at arguably, the toughest course they would play all year. Frias IV totaled 10 birdies and an eagle firing 73-76-74 throughout three rounds at Laurel Valley. Adrian Jordan started hot for Kenyon shooting 70 (-2) in the first round to lead the team for their lowest round of the tournament.

Alex Harwood and Jaiden Koonar each turned in a finish of 224 (+8) locking up finishes in 25th place. Harwood makes his first appearance at The Tartan Invitational as a first-year posting a first round 75 (+3) followed up by a 71 (-1) in round two. Koonar remained consistent throughout the tournament, turning in cards of 75 (+3), 73 (+1) and 76 (+4). He claimed a great birdie on the 18th hole in round two sticking his approach across the water from 134 yards to seven feet before draining the putt.

Connor Gray flew up the leader board 11 places in round three to finish in a tie for 35th place. Gray's third round 74 (+2), paired nicely with his opening round 72 (E) to contribute as the second counting score in both rounds for the Owls. Gray's two birdies in his final three holes were essential in battling off a rising Methodist University squad looking to come from behind.

The Owls will head into hibernation for the remainder of the calendar year before they look to open their spring season in early March.
