CLEVELAND, Ohio – The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, with Kenyon College senior David Chintala earning the men's lacrosse honor following a dominant performance in the Owls' season-opening victory.

Chintala led the Kenyon offense in a 14-4 win over Transylvania University, finishing with six goals on 16 shots, eight of which were on target, while also adding a ground ball pickup. With the performance, the senior extends his career goal total to 158, reminding everyone of his place as the program's all-time leading scorer.

The New Albany, Ohio native made an immediate impact, scoring the Owls' first goal of the season less than a minute into the contest. He found the back of the net in every quarter and recorded multiple unassisted tallies, consistently pressuring the Transylvania defense throughout the afternoon.

Chintala and the Owls will next face their first road test of the season as they travel to Adrian, Michigan, to take on Adrian College on Saturday, February 14, with face-off set for 1:00 p.m.
