Kenyon earns ninth straight ABCA team award

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced today its member institutions that earned the 2026 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award. Among the more than 450 collegiate programs to be recognized, the Kenyon College Owls were one of 196 NCAA Division III programs to make the list.

To be eligible for the academic award, a team had to have a head coach that is a current ABCA member and had to have members of its 2026 roster combine for a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. 

The Owls had no problem clearing the criteria, as the 37 members of this past season's team posted a combined 3.39 grade point average to give the program its ninth consecutive, and tenth overall, ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award.
