Owls record another scoreless draw at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Kenyon College women's soccer team went back on the road Saturday afternoon looking for its first away win of the year, following draws against Franciscan University and Geneva College.

The Owls looked to build on a 3-0 offensive rout at home last Wednesday against Mount Union, taking on the Adrian College Bulldogs, who were still looking for their first home win of the 2026 campaign. What followed was a well-fought battle, while neither team managed a goal and both settled for a non-conference scoreless tie.

The first half was a tightly contested affair, with neither team managing to land a goal in the back of the net. Both squads displayed impressive backfield play and goalkeeping, with Adrian goalkeeper Monica Arndt recording three saves and Kenyon's Ariel Kite stopping two. The Owl defense that has limited its opponents to just 0.60 goals per game was just as mighty in Saturday's contest.

The second half featured more of the same from both sides, with the Owls' offense continuing to push and put shots on goal. The Kenyon offense combined for fourteen total shot attempts between the two halves, with six on goal.

Despite Kenyon's pressure, Ardnt put up another impressive display on goal with three saves in the second half. Rafaela Plasa once again led the Owls offense, putting up six shot attempts and three on goal between the two halves.

Following today's stalemate, the third of the season for Kenyon, the Owls return home on Wednesday to face the Baldwin-Wallace Yellow Jackets at 4:30 p.m.
