DELAWARE, Ohio (November 1, 2011) The Kenyon College women's soccer team entered the semifinal round of the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament looking to play the spoiler against No. 1-seeded Ohio Wesleyan University. Instead, the Battling Bishops dashed the Ladies' postseason dreams Tuesday night and ended their season with a 1-0 defeat.

Fourth-seeded Kenyon and Ohio Wesleyan played through a scoreless first half, but the draw was short lived after halftime. The host Bishops scored the lone goal of the game in the 48th minute on Jessica Huschart's 30-yard ripper from the right side.

The Ladies held significant advantages in shots, 14-8, and corner kicks, 4-1, but couldn't produce the equalizer. Hannah Zacharias made sure OWU's lead withstood Kenyon's onslaught by making seven saves for her ninth shutout of the season. Zacharias was particularly clutch late in the game with three of her stops coming inside the final ten minutes of play.

The loss set Kenyon's final record at 11-7-1. The Bishops (11-4-4) will host the conference finals Saturday against the winner of Wednesday's other semifinal game between Allegheny College and the College of Wooster.
