GAMBIER, Ohio – The Kenyon College Ladies sprayed the Hiram College net with 43 shots during Tuesday's North Coast Athletic Conference women's soccer game at Mavec Field. Only one of those shots crossed the goal line, but that's all the Ladies needed to secure a 1-0 victory.

Kenyon's goal came on a penalty kick in the second half with 25:29 remaining. After being fouled by the Hiram goalkeeper within the Terriers' box, sophomore Becca Romaine was awarded the kick, which she buried into the lower left corner. The goal was Romaine's team-leading 13th of the year and was her sixth game-winning goal, as well.

Hiram (4-11-2, 1-7-0 NCAC) never really matched Kenyon's offensive attack. In fact, the Terriers took just two shots and both were off target. Kenyon junior goalkeeper Lauren Wolfe did not have to make a save to record her sixth shutout of the season. She now sports a 1.04 goals against average.

Kenyon (7-7-2, 3-3-1 NCAC) will wrap up its regular-season schedule Saturday with a road game at Wittenberg University. That game is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
