GREENCASTLE, Ind. – To keep its hopes for a berth in the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament alive, the Kenyon College field hockey team had the tall task of knocking off first-place DePauw University on its home turf Saturday. The Tigers made sure that was never a serious threat, though, scoring three times in the first 15 minutes before throwing it into cruise control for a 4-1 win.

The Tigers (17-1, 14-0 NCAC) were led by three goals from Margaret Ellis, who leads the conference with 25 for the season, and a defense that limited the Ladies to three shots for the game.

Kenyon avoided the shutout, though, when sophomore Rachel Hall scored on freshman Maddie Breschi's assist in the 68th minute. Hall concludes the year as the Ladies' leading scorer with 10 goals and 24 points while Breschi led the team with six assists.

Kenyon finishes the season fifth in the NCAC standings with a 7-7 mark against conference opponents as part of an 8-10 overall record.
