GREENCASTLE, Ind. – After pouring in seven goals in two games last week, the Kenyon College women's soccer team wrapped up the current week without a single tally. DePauw University, the Ladies' opponent Saturday, could not find the net either and the conference foes settled nothing in a scoreless draw.
Kenyon (4-5-1, 0-1-1 NCAC) was the more efficient team, but that did not translate to victory. The Ladies took 14 shots with ten of them being on goal. DePauw (1-8-1, 1-1-1 NCAC) uncorked 11 shots with seven on goal. At the receiving end of those shots, Kenyon goalkeeper
Lauren Wolfe made seven saves and DePauw keeper Caroline Kerr made ten.
While the Ladies' offense was unable to light the scoreboard this week, the team's defense deserves credit for holding its past two opponents to a combined total of just one goal. That lone goal came Tuesday in a 1-0 loss to The College of Wooster.
The Ladies now have a week's rest before their next game, which will be at home Saturday against Oberlin College
