Kenyon depth apparent in win over Ohio Northern

GAMBIER, Ohio – Seven different Kenyon College Ladies combined to post eight individual-events wins Friday as the Ladies swimming and diving team edged the Ohio Northern University Polar Bears, 123-113. The Ladies also won a relay event and ended up claiming a total of nine wins in the 13 events that were scheduled.

Kenyon's only two-time individual-event winner was distance specialist Dru Selden. A junior, Selden won the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:46.60. Later in the meet, she claimed the 500-yard freestyle with a winning time of 5:15.84.

In between Selden's two wins, a host of Ladies logged first-place performances. Jacque Garcia won the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.56), Jourdan Cline took the 50-yard freestyle (25.21), Alyssa LaFrenierre was quickest in the 200-yard individual medley (2:16.90), freshman Megan Morris was victorious in the 100-yard freestyle (54.43), senior Rachel Flinn ruled the 100-yard.

Following that flurry, Kenyon closed out the meet with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Morris, Cline, and Flinn, joined Emily Tysinger to post the top time of 1:39.68.
