Jonathan Amador fired in a couple clutch shots Saturday afternoon and lifted the Kenyon College men's basketball team to a 71-69 North Coast Athletic Conference victory over the host Allegheny College Gators.

John Bray made a pass out to Amador. Amador then squared up and buried a three-pointer that pushed the Lords ahead by four points with just over a minute to play. Allegheny responded with a couple of field goals and managed to tie the game at 69-69 with 21 seconds showing on the clock. Kenyon then moved the ball upcourt and got it in the hands of Nwadibia, who drove the lane and pumped in the buzzer-beating game-winner.
Those final two points gave Nwadibia a game-high 19. Amador went 5-of-11 from three-point range and finished with 15 points, while Bray went 5-of-7 down low and tallied ten points.
Brian Lebowitz scored six points and grabbed a game-high ten rebounds. Nwadibia added another nine rebounds and helped Kenyon gain a slim 34-30 edge on the boards.
The final result reflected a game that was close throughout. The contest featured 11 lead changes and nine tied scores. At one point early in the second half, Allegheny, which had a 34-31 halftime lead, did move ahead by 11 points, but Kenyon used a 15-4 run to tie the game up at 49-49 with about 12 minutes left in the game. The run was fueled by three-pointers from Amador and
Cooper Handelsman, as well as five points from Nwadibia.
The victory was Kenyon's third in its last four games and moved the Lords' records to 10-9 overall and 4-6 in the NCAC. Allegheny, which has dropped four of its last five, fell to 9-10 overall and 3-7 in conference action.
