WOOSTER RESULTS  I  OBERLIN RESULTS

GAMBIER, Ohio – The Kenyon College Lords tennis team, ranked No. 2 in the nation, split its roster Monday evening and took on a pair of conference adversaries. One of half of the Lords team delivered a swift 9-0 win over the College of Wooster, while the other half posted an identical winning score against Oberlin College.

The two wins improved Kenyon's overall record to 17-3 and its North Coast Athletic Conference record to 2-0. The wins also extended the Lords' streak to 57 consecutive regular-season conference wins. That's a string that dates back to April of the 2000 season.

While cranking out two perfect team scores, the Lords dropped just two of 26 sets played in singles matches.  Michael Razumovsky, C.J. Williams, and Sam Geier all whipped through their Wooster opponents yielding just one game. Wade Heerboth did the same against his Oberlin opponent, but it was sophomore Colin Haas who was the only Lord not to allow a single point on the day. Haas paired with Tristan Kaye to post an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles against Oberlin's Brandon McKena and Paul Goebel. Later, Haas delivered a 6-0, 6-0 win over Goebel in the No. 6 singles match.

The Lords, who've won their last eight matches, will look to extend that streak by one more Tuesday when they host the No. 23-ranked Washington and Lee University Generals at 5 p.m.
