GAMBIER, Ohio  – The No. 2 Kenyon College men's tennis team continued its winning streak, extending it to eight consecutive matches, with its 8-1 win over No. 23 Washington & Lee University. The match represented the final nonconference contest of the season for the Lords, now 18-3, leading into their final two matches in conference play to conclude the regular season.

Tuesday afternoon's match began on the outdoor courts where the Lords rolled through double play with three decisive victories. Kevin Ye and Wade Heerboth recorded Kenyon's first win of the day, 8-5, marking their sixth straight doubles win as a twosome. The combinations of Tim Rosensteel and Paul Burgin plus C.J. Williams and Michael Razumovsky closed out doubles play with 8-3 and 8-4 victories, respectively.

All singles matches were moved indoors to the Jasper Tennis Center before rain could wash out play. Despite the move, the Lords hot streak continued as Razumovsky highlighted Kenyon's successes with his 6-1, 6-2 defeat of two-time All-American Hayden White in the top-flight matchup. Razumovsky, a 2012 All-American, snapped a 14-match winning streak held by White, the No. 1 player in the Atlantic South Region. With the win the sophomore, currently ranked No. 3 in the Central Region, extended his own singles winning streak to six straight matches.

Burgin continued adding to his all-time combined wins total that set a new College career record earlier this week. His 6-2, 6-1 win over the Generals' Taylor Shamshiri in the No. 2 singles flight extended that marker to 168 career wins, after adding in his doubles victory earlier in the day.

With his straight-set win over Brian Krouskos, Jacob Huber lengthened his current singles win streak to nine matches. Ye and Heerboth also won each of their singles matches.

The Lords (18-3, 2-0 North Coast Athletic Conference) will have a busy day on April 21 when they get an early start by hosting Allegheny College at 10:30 a.m. Later that day, they will play their final match of the regular season at Ohio Wesleyan.
