TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – After the first day of the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Invitational the Kenyon College Volleyball team is still seeking its first win of the season. The Ladies dropped a heartbreaker in five sets to Muskingum University to open the day then dropped the nightcap to Webster University in straight sets.

Sierra DeLeon led the Ladies offensively with a two-match total of 26 kills, posting 14 against Muskingum and fell one dig shy of a double-double effort. The senior returned to the hardwood and tallied 12 kills and hit at a .348 clip in the Ladies' loss to Webster.

Kenyon (0-6) jumped ahead of Muskingum with wins in each of the first two games, 25-19 and 25-15, before the tide turned against them resulting in losses in the final three sets (18-25, 10-25, 5-15). The win helped Muskingum remain undefeated on the season, leaving the match with a 6-0 overall mark.

The Ladies challenged Webster early, coming up just short in each of their first two sets to fall behind two games to none (19-25, 23-25). The Gorloks kept the ball rolling with a 25-11 victory in the third set to close out the night and improve to 3-1 on the year.
