GAMBIER, Ohio – Junior Katie Kaestner was a part of three event wins Saturday and boosted the Kenyon College women's swimming and diving team to a 182-43 rout of the visiting Ohio Northern University Polar Bears. Kaestner's three wins were a part of a clean sweep for the Ladies, who claimed the top spot in all 13 events held at the James A. Steen Aquatic Center.

Kaestner, a breaststroke specialist, moved away from her typical events and claimed wins in both the 50-yard freestyle (24.35) and the 100-yard freestyle (52.98). At the conclusion of the meet, she teamed up with Jenner McLeod, Megan Morris, and Cecina Babich Morrow to earn the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:37.77).

Julie Dierker, a freshman, was a two-time winner for the Ladies. She took gold in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:41.38) and 500-yard freestyle (5:12.55). Maria Zarka, a junior, matched that win total by sweeping the diving competitions with a score of 240.60 on the one-meter board and 237.07 on the three-meter board. McLeod also rang up two wins. She won the 100-yard butterfly (59.28) prior to swimming a leg on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team.

Other individual event wins for the Ladies came from Mariah Williamson in the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.03), Kanchi Desai in the 400-yard individual medley (4:31.67), Celia Oberholzer in the 100-yard backstroke (58.23), and Ellie Crawford in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.85).

Back at the start of the meet, the Kenyon women kicked things off with a win in the 200-yard medley relay (1:49.37). That team consisted of Sally Huizinga, Amelia Loydpierson, Natalie Parker, and Alexa Korsberg.

The Ladies will step aside from competition for the next two weeks and begin preparing for a November 15th dual meet with rival Denison University.
