tied Adrian 1-1 in double overtime
GAMBIER, Ohio – The Kenyon College women's soccer team played to a 1-1 double-overtime draw against Adrian College Saturday afternoon at Mavec Field.

The teams combined to take 39 shots during the 110-minute contest. Both squad's goalkeepers had solid afternoons as Bulldogs goalie Lexi Lewandowski collected five saves while her counterpart Alissa Poolpol denied seven shots.

Ladies' forward Maggie Smith scored her first goal of the season in the 14th minute as she fired a shot to the left corner from 15 yards out.

Adrian's Erin Weide responded with the equalizer in the 20th minute placing the ball just over the outstretched arms of Poolpol.

Each team had plenty of opportunities to break the 1-1 tie throughout the rest of the match but couldn't find the back of the net.

Kenyon will next play September 6 at Mavec Field when it hosts John Carroll University for a 1 p.m. match.
