fell to visiting John Carroll University 3-1 Saturday afternoon.GAMBIER, Ohio – Three different John Carroll University players scored Saturday afternoon as the Blue Streaks defeated Kenyon College 3-1 in a non-conference women's soccer match at Mavec Field.

JCU took just five shots compared to 25 for Kenyon in the win.

Dana Roman got the Blue Streaks on the board in the 14th minute as she scored on an assist from Andrea Regrut.

Late in the first half, Maggie Reilly took a Mollie Zugger pass and scored to push John Carroll's lead to 2-0 with six minutes left.

Kenyon would fight back in the second half to cut the deficit to 2-1 as
Camila Kirtzman scored her first collegiate goal in the 54th minute.

That would be the closest the Ladies would get though as Kaylin Akerly scored six minutes later to give the Blue Streaks the final margin.

JCU goalkeeper Haley McDonald, barraged with a handful of shots, collected nine saves in the win. She stopped two potential goals in the second half following Akerly's score in the 60th minute.

Becca Romaine attempted four.

The Ladies will look to bounce back September 9 when they welcome Ohio Northern University to Mavec Field for a 4 p.m. match.
