Esraa Abdel Khalik finished in first place in the 200 free and 500 free
Friday night as the Ladies defeated Ohio Wesleyan in a dual meet. RESULTSGAMBIER, Ohio –
Esraa Abdel Khalik was one of two freshmen to win a pair of individual events Friday night as the Kenyon College women's swimming and diving team had no trouble defeating Ohio Wesleyan University in a dual meet at the James A. Steen Aquatics Center. Â The Ladies triumphed to a 149-56 win.

Abdel Khalik earned her first victory in the 200 freestyle with a 1:54.53 mark and later claimed the top spot in the 500 free as she clocked a 5:05.51.

Also winning two events was
Abby Wilson. The first-year from Westerville touched the wall in 10:28.60 during the 1000 freestyle and later added to her impressive night in the 200 back with a 2:05.71 mark.

Hannah Orbach-Mandel, another freshman on the squad, tallied an individual event win in the 100 free (52.88) and swam a leg on the first-place 400 medley relay team with
Abby Chopp,
Cecina Babich Morrow and
Fernanda Banic-Martins.

Kenyon's upperclassmen also had a say in the team's victory over OWU.

Seniors
Katie Kaestner and
Natalie Parker won the 50 free and 200 individual medley, respectively. Kaestner also swam a leg in the 200 free relay with teammates
Hannah Lobb,
Haley Townsend and
Jenner McLeod that claimed first place.

Rounding out Kenyon's first-place spots were
Maria Zarka in the 1-meter diving event,
Julie Dierker in the 200 butterfly and
Julia Wilson in the 200 breaststroke.

In addition to the Ladies' handful of top spots, there were also a bevy of runner-up finishes.

Delaney Ambrosen was the second-place finisher in the 200 free and Chopp followed in the next event during the 50 free. In the 200 IM, Townsend touched the wall in 2:14.01 and later McLeod completed the 100 free in 52.90.

The Ladies' final runner-up spots came from
Marysol Arce in the 200 back,
Alexa Korsberg in the 500 free and
Laura Duncan in the 200 breast.

Kenyon is right back in action tomorrow when they host Wittenberg University for Senior Day starting at 1 p.m.
