Ladies close dual meet schedule with win at OWU

on Friday night as the Ladies defeated Ohio Wesleyan. Kenyon will
now get ready for the NCAC Championship.

DELAWARE, Ohio – The No. 1 (CSCAA) Kenyon Ladies swimming and diving team won its final dual meet of the year on Friday night defeating Ohio Wesleyan University 172-52 at the Meek Center.
 
Kenyon will now prepare for the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship scheduled to begin on February 13 at Denison University's Trumbull Aquatics Center.
 
Against the Battling Bishops, the Ladies dialed up 10 victories including multiple event wins for Celina German, Abby Wilson and diver Myra Miller.
 
During the opening race of the night, the 200-yard medley relay, Wilson teamed with Caitlin Foley, Hannah Orbach-Mandel and Sophia Kuvan to capture first place with a time of 1:49.67.
 
Two events later, Wilson took the top spot in the 200 freestyle as she touched in 1:54.70. Near the end of the meet, the senior from Westerville, Ohio added the team's eighth victory as she won the 100-yard backstroke in 59.61.
 
German then got into the mix winning the 50-yard free with a mark of 24.91. She followed four races later to claim the 100 in 54.62.
 
In diving, Miller secured 214.90 points on the 1-meter board and followed that up registering 231.75 points on the 3-meter board.
 
There were three more wins for the Ladies. Kendall Vanderhoof won the 200 individual medley (2:11.51), Makena Markert snagged first in the 100 butterfly (59.84) and Caylee Hamilton touched the wall of the 500-yard free in 5:21.12.
 
Additionally, the Ladies had the runner-up spot in eight of the night's races. Delaney Ambrosen highlighted those marks as she swam legs on the 200-yard medley and free relays, and claimed second in the 100-yard freestyle. Plus, Summer Otazu landed in second in the 100 breast and 100 backstroke events.
