Three Owls claim positions on All-NCAC Team

CLEVELAND -- The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced Thursday that three Kenyon College Owls were selected to the 2025 All-NCAC Football Team. Jared Hancock and Michael Kerr were both selected to the Second Team defense, while Caleb Kirkpatrick earned a spot on the Third Team offense.

The All-NCAC honorees were selected to three teams, and within those teams, split into offense, defense and special team units.

Hancock, a senior linebacker, played in nine games this past season and recorded a total of 42 tackles. Eight of those tackles went for losses and 3½ were quarterback sacks. His season stat line also included three quarterback hurries and a pass break-up. Hancock completed his four-year stint at Kenyon with 152 career tackles. With this year's all-conference award, he is now a two-time All-NCAC player, after earning a spot on the 2024 Third Team.

Another member of the Kenyon defense, Kerr, a junior lineman, is a first-time All-NCAC selection. He played in all 10 games this past season and racked up 52 tackles, the third-best output on the team. His total of six quarterback sacks was tops on the team and ranked fourth best among all players in the NCAC. Additionally, his 15 tackles-for-loss were tops on the team and tops in the conference. Kerr also tallied one interception and one fumble recovery.

On the other side of the ball, Kirkpatrick, another first-time All-NCAC honoree, manned the right guard position along the Owls' offensive line. The sophomore played in all 10 games and made time and space for the Kenyon team to average 85.6 rushing yards per game and 246.3 passing yards per game.
