GENEVA, Ohio -- The third and final day of the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships got underway on Saturday, and Kenyon College's Paula Soric got her chance to shine on the national stage in the triple jump. The senior stamped her name in the Kenyon record books one final time, capping a career that has been full of record-setting performances. Soric's ninth-place finish also clinched a spot on the All-America Second Team, becoming the first Kenyon women's track and field All-American since 2014.
After reaching the NCAA Championship meet with a record-setting mark of 11.96 meters (39-3), Soric nearly steadily built up to an even better output on Saturday afternoon. She started with a fault on her first attempt, but improved her distance over the next three tries, landing at 11.53 meters (37-10) and 11.93 meters (39-1 ¾) before exploding a 12.10-meter (39-8 ½) leap.
The mark stood as her best attempt of the day, and it goes down as the longest leap in Soric's storied career. The new program-best distance wound up as the ninth-best mark in this year's NCAA triple jump field, making Soric the first member of the All-America Second Team. The Zadar, Croatia, native became Kenyon's first women's track and field All-American since Sierra DeLeon was a two-time winner in 2014. Additionally, Soric is just the eighth women's track and field individual to earn an All-America award, and her honor marked the 16th total All-America honor in program history. She is the first Kenyon woman to earn an All-America award in the triple jump.
The NCAA finale took place at the SPIRE Institute's Outdoor Track & Field facility, and Soric was no stranger to some of the meet's hosts as the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) shared hosting duties with the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
