Owls earn eighth straight ABCA Team Award

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) recently announced the names of the 440 college and university programs, across all divisions, that earned the 2025 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award presented by Sports Attack. Among those institutions named, the Kenyon College Owls were one of 173 from NCAA Division III.

To be eligible for the academic award, a team had to have a head coach that is a current ABCA member and had to have the student-athletes on its 2025 roster combine for a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. The Owls had no problem clearing the minimum, as the 43 members of this past season's team posted a combined 3.47 grade point average.

In addition to their academic success, the 2025 Kenyon club racked up a 15-15-1 overall record, including an 8-7-1 North Coast Athletic Conference record that landed the Owls in fifth place in the final standings.

The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award was Kenyon's eighth consecutive and ninth in the past ten seasons.
