Kenyon men climb to tenth in the nation

NORMAN, Okla. - The Kenyon College men's golf team continued to gain national recognition this week, checking in at No. 10 in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll.
 
The Owls, who were previously ranked No. 12 in the preseason polls, climbed two spots to crack the top ten for the first time this season. Kenyon earned 218 points after a strong start to the new season.
 
Sewanee captured the No. 1 ranking after winning the Gate City Invitational on September 16, receiving seven first-place votes and 351 points. Carnegie Mellon University (No. 2, 327 points), Washington and Lee University (T-No. 3, 313 points), Oglethorpe University (T-No.3, 313 points), and Huntingdon College (No. 5, 312 points) rounded out the top five, while Emory University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Aurora University, and Kenyon completed the top ten.
 
Up next, the Owls will have a quick turnaround as they travel south to Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, to compete in the NCAA Fall Preview, scheduled for September 21-23.
