Owls earn individual and team academic honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. – After reviewing both grade point averages and athletic performances, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its list of individuals and teams that earned NCAA Division III cross country academic honors for the 2025 season. The Kenyon College Owls not only claimed the team award, but senior Anna Brown and junior Olivia Ide collected individual recognition as All-Academic Athletes.

As a team, the Kenyon women posted a grade point average of 3.69 and earned the academic award for the 20th consecutive season. To be eligible, a team had to compete and score at an NCAA regional meet, while maintaining a minimum team grade point average of 3.10. This year's team grade point average was the Owls' third best during their 20-year run of recognition.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete status, a student-athlete had to compile a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater through the most recent semester and had to place among the top 25 percent in their respective NCAA Division III regional championship meet. Brown, a studio art major, claimed 59th place in a field of 261 runners at the 2025 Great Lakes Regional Championship. Ide, a biology major, was a step quicker and used a season-best time to place 47th at the regional meet.
