Haag claims first career NCAC Player of the Week honor

CLEVELAND – The North Coast Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards on Monday, naming Kenyon College men's lacrosse attacker Alex Haag as the NCAC Player of the Week. The recognition marks Haag's first career weekly honor and the second for the Owls this season.

Haag powered the Kenyon offense in a 15-13 conference victory over Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops, delivering a career-best five-goal performance. The attacker fired 14 shots in the contest, placing six on target, while consistently pressuring the Battling Bishops' defense throughout the afternoon. Haag also contributed two ground balls in the win as Kenyon secured the conference result.

With the performance, Haag increased his season totals to 18 goals, third-most on the team, along with five assists, continuing to play a key role in the Owls' attack.

Haag and the Owls will look to extend their NCAC win streak to three when they host conference newcomer John Carroll Blue Streaks on Wednesday, April 8. Opening faceoff at McBride Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.
