GAMBIER, Ohio — The Kenyon College men's swimming and diving program placed four student-athletes on the 2025-26 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Academic All-District Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Representing the Owls were Peter Dunson, Ethan Manske, Roman Savage, and Noel Tumbasz.
Manske earned the distinction for the third time in his career, while Savage and Tumbasz each secured their second Academic All-District honors. Dunson collected the award for the first time. All four student-athletes will now advance to the Academic All-America ballot, with the Academic All-America Team scheduled to be announced later this summer.
To be eligible for the Academic All-District honor, a student-athlete had to be a key contributor who competed in at least five meets throughout the season or had a top-eight finish at a conference meet. The student-athlete had to be on the team's active roster for at least two years and had to possess a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Each institution was allotted a maximum of four nominations.
Dunson, a mathematics and statistics major concentrating in computing, earned three NCAA Division III All-America honors during the 2025-26 season as a member of Kenyon's 400-medley relay, 200-freestyle relay, and 200-medley relay teams. Across his career, he has accumulated five All-America honors at the NCAA Championships. In the classroom, Dunson has been recognized on the NCAC Academic Honor Roll and earned a CSCAA Academic Award while also participating in undergraduate research in biostatistics and artificial intelligence.
Manske, a Japanese and environmental studies double major, continued to excel both in the pool and the classroom. At the conference championships, he captured individual titles in the 400 individual medley and 200 butterfly while helping Kenyon's 800-freestyle relay place second. He went on to earn four NCAA Division III All-America honors during the national meet and now holds 14 All-America awards in his career. Academically, Manske is a three-time CSC Academic All-District selection, a two-time CSC Academic All-American First Team honoree, and a three-time CSCAA Scholar All-American First Team recipient.
Savage, a political science and economics major with a minor in philosophy, is a 10-time NCAA Division III All-American across his career and competed in seven events at this year's national championships. He helped power Kenyon relay teams to third-place finishes in the 200-medley, 400-freestyle, and 800-freestyle relays. At the conference meet, Savage placed third in the 500 freestyle and second in the 100 butterfly while contributing to three runner-up relay finishes. He is also a two-time CSCAA Scholar All-American First Team selection and now a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.
Tumbasz, who studies modern languages and literatures, also paired academic excellence with standout performances in the pool. The eight-time All-American highlighted his national meet with a third-place finish in the 200-medley relay. At the conference championships, he claimed the title in the 100 breaststroke, finished third in the 200 breaststroke, and helped Kenyon place second in both the 200-medley and 400-medley relays. In the classroom, Tumbasz is now a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection and a two-time CSCAA Scholar All-American First Team honoree. He was also awarded the Thomas and Jack Au Prize as the top student in Kenyon's Department of Modern Languages and Literatures.
The four honorees played a major role in Kenyon's continued success in the pool during the 2025-26 season, leading their squad to a fourth-place finish at the national championship.
