Montgomery earns spot on NFCA All-Region Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Friday that Kenyon College junior Keala Montgomery was one of 39 student-athletes from 19 institutions who earned a spot on the 2026 NFCA Division III All-Region VII Team.

The All-Region awards honor student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with selection to one of three teams. NFCA member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region.

Montgomery, Kenyon's first baseman and leadoff hitter, was named a member of the All-Region VII Second Team. With the award, she became the first from the Kenyon program to be recognized as an All-Region honoree since Grace Pilz was collected a Third Team spot in 2019.

Throughout the 2026 season, Montgomery paced a record-setting Owls offense. She hit .442 (68-of-154) and established the program single-season record for hits. She scored 46 runs, had 33 RBI, and amassed 15 doubles, seven triples, and five home runs. Her triple count tied her own single-season record and improved her Kenyon career record to 17. Additionally, her 112 total bases for the 2026 season went down as another Kenyon record.

Montgomery posted a .727 slugging percentage and .491 on-base percentage. She successfully stole 17 bases in 20 attempts, drew 15 walks, and only struck out nine times all season.

In the field, Montgomery recorded 340 putouts at first base, which was yet another Kenyon single-season record.

The honorees from all 10 regions will move forward to be considered for selection to the three NFCA Division III All-America squads, which will be announced May 27.
