Six Owls land on all-conference team

CLEVELAND – The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its 2026 Men's Tennis All-Conference Team on Thursday, and six members of the Kenyon College squad earned spots on the list, with five Owls appearing in both singles and doubles and Maximo Llamas Castellanos picking up the NCAC Newcomer of the Year honor.

Alejandro Gonzalez, Llamas Castellanos, Paulo Pocasangre Kreling, Juozas Cioladis, and Jay Kedar Dixit all claimed spots on both singles and doubles squads, while Eliezer Gonzalez was honored for his doubles play.

Gonzalez and Llamas Castellanos made the conference's first team in singles, with Llamas Castellanos leading the team with an impressive 24-4 record in singles this season. He also was named the conference's Newcomer of the Year, an award also won by current teammate Kedar Dixit during his first year at The College of Wooster in 2024, and by a Kenyon player most recently in 2022 by Rishil Kondapaneni. Gonzalez, a junior, amassed a 16-6 singles record this season in the first and second flights, adding the third all-conference singles selection to his resume.

Kenyon's lone second team selection went to Pocasangre Kreling, who notched his fourth All-NCAC singles nod. The senior went 17-9 in singles matches this season.

Cioladis and Kedar Dixit made the third team, each adding their second career singles honor. Cioladis went 19-6 in his singles matches during the 2026 campaign, while Kedar Dixit went 13-6.

Over in doubles, Cioladis and Llamas Castellanos paired up for the Owls' lone first-team all-conference selection. The duo went 21-4 in the first and second flights this season, going 5-2 in the NCAC.

Kedar Dixit and Pocasangre Kreling were one of two groups to make the third team for Kenyon, marking the second doubles award for Kedar Dixit and the fourth for Pocasangre Kreling. In the second flight this season, the pair went 10-2 overall and 4-1 in conference. Kenyon's final selection was the team of Alejandro Gonzalez and Eliezer Gonzalez, who each earned their second doubles All-NCAC spot, registering a 6-7 record overall.

The Owls will be back on the court on Friday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. CT, where they'll open play in the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Team Championship, facing the winner of Thursday's match between No. 22-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College and Greenville University.
