Four named to CSC Academic All-District Team

GAMBIER, Ohio -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday the names of the student-athletes recognized on the 2025-26 At-Large Academic All-District Team. Among the honorees were four from the Kenyon College men's lacrosse team. That group included seniors Owen Breen, David Chintala and Will Jordan, as well as sophomore Alex Haag.

In order to be considered for the At-Large Academic All-District Team, a nominee had to be on the team's active roster for at least two years and had to possess at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Additionally, for lacrosse, the nominees had to compete in a minimum of 90 percent of the team's games, or had to start a minimum of 66 percent of the team's games.

The CSC At-Large program includes nominees from 10 different NCAA men's sports (two of which Kenyon offers), and limits each institution to six nominees. Kenyon filled that allotment with the four lacrosse student-athletes, as well as two from the golf team.

Breen, a defenseman, is now a two-time winner of the Academic All-District award. This past season, he started all 17 games for the Owls and ranked second on the team with 22 caused turnovers. He also scooped up 27 ground balls and played a key role in a unit that allowed an average of just 8.82 goals per game. In the classroom, Breen earned his degree in chemistry.

Graduating alongside Breen was Chintala, who gained his degree in physics. Chintala also graduated as one of the most decorated offensive players in program history. He set multiple Kenyon records, including career marks for most goals (205) and points (264) This past season alone, he racked up 70 points on 53 goals and 17 assists. He's a three-time winner of the CSC Academic All-District award, as well as four-time all-conference honoree. Additionally, Chintala is a two-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America honorable mention.

Jordan, another member of the graduating senior class, studied economics and did all his on-field work at the faceoff dot. He played all 17 games in the 2026 season and won 232 of 360 faceoffs, for a .644 winning percentage. He scored one goal, had one assist and led the team with 136 ground balls. The CSC academic recognition was a first for Jordan, who also gained his first all-conference honor among the 2026 selections.

Haag, a midfielder, started all 17 games for the Owls and counted 32 points on 23 goals and nine assists. Like Jordan, Haag's 2026 season ended with his first career all-conference awards, as well as his first academic honor from CSC. In addition to his offensive output, Haag tallied 15 ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.

The combined efforts of the four honorees went a long way in Kenyon posting a 10-7 record and collecting a share of the 2026 North Coast Athletic Conference title.
