Owls collect academic awards from USILA

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) recently announced its annual team and individual academic award winners for the 2006 campaign. The Kenyon College Owls not only garnered the organization's Academic Team Award, but three members of the team—David Chintala, Adam Hall, and Will Jordan—were named USILA Scholar All-Americans.

In order to receive the USILA Academic Team Award, all members of a team that competed in the 2026 season had to combine for a 3.0 grade point average or better. Kenyon's grade point average was 3.43 for the year, marking the sixth straight season the Owls earned the honor.

To be eligible for the Scholar All-America award, the USILA states that a student-athlete had to be nominated by his coach, had to be a student with a senior-year academic standing, and had to have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. The nominee had to behave in a manner that brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. The nominee also had to be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player.

Prior to receiving this award, all three Kenyon players were named to the 2026 All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Team. Chintala and Jordan were selected as 2026 Academic All-District honorees by College Sports Communicators (CSC), and Chintala and Hall went on to be named USILA All-Americans.

All three graduated in May. Chintala earned his degree in physics, Hall claimed his in political science, and Jordan completed his studies in economics.

On the field, Chintala finished his Kenyon career as the program's all-time career leader in goals (205) and points (264). During this past 2026 season, he rang up team-best totals of 53 goals and 70 points over 17 games played.

Hall, the team's starting goalkeeper for four straight seasons, departed as a record-breaker, too, establishing the program mark for career saves (777). This past season he made 191 saves, while posting a 9.00 goals against average and a .560 saves percentage.

Jordan was a face-off specialist and topped the team's charts in wins (232) and win percentage (.644) during the 2026 campaign. He also led the team in ground balls (136) and completed his collegiate career ranked second all-time in program history with a .630 career win percentage.
