GAMBIER, Ohio (April 15, 2012) Caitlin Nealer and the Allegheny College Gators were too much for the Kenyon College softball team Sunday in North Coast Athletic Conference action. Nealer pitched a pair of complete-game victories while going 5-of-7 with six RBIs at the plate to lead Allegheny to lopsided decisions by counts of 15-2 and 14-0.

Nealer, who entered the day with a sparkling 0.80 earned run average, scattered seven hits in her ten total innings of work. Junior Hannah Smith was the only Lady to get multiple hits on the day with her 2-for-2 performance in game one.

While Nealer held Kenyon (11-21, 3-7 NCAC) to a .184 batting average (7-of-38), the Gator bats backed her up with a total of 29 runs and hit the ball at a .569 (33-of-58) clip. The Ladies were also their own worst enemies at times with eight errors that opened the door for nine of Allegheny's runs to be unearned.

Sadie Stewart matched Nealer for the team lead with six RBIs on a 3-for-4 effort at the dish. Maureen Pallone was a tough out who reached base in six of her seven at-bats and drove in five runs. Nicole Rodi and Stephanie Fort each scored six times from the top of the Allegheny (20-7-1, 6-2 NCAC) line-up.

Kenyon wraps up the home portion of its schedule Saturday by hosting the College of Wooster at 1 p.m.
