Senior Caroline Daugherty had one of the Ladies' best marks on Saturday as the
team competed at the Bob Shannon Invitational. She claimed fifth
during the 5,000 meter run as Kenyon finished in tenth.

GRANVILLE, Ohio –
Caroline Daugherty and
Rosa Rumora each had fifth-place finishes on Saturday afternoon as the Kenyon Ladies track and field team participated in the Denison University Bob Shannon Invitational held at The Mitchell Fieldhouse.
Kenyon wound up in tenth place out of 14 teams as Ohio Wesleyan University won the event with Carnegie Melon University claiming second.
Duffy Lemire represented the Ladies' lone field participant during the day. The sophomore, competing in the high jump, reached four feet, seven inches (1.40 m) which was good for tenth.
Then, in running events, Daugherty got things going for the Ladies as crossed the finish line of the 5,000-meter run in 20:00.99. Teammate
Emma Becker followed one spot later with a mark of 20:03.61. Plus,
Andrea Ludwig and
Keely Lovato finished with top-ten spots in eighth and ninth, respectively.
Rumora earned three team points a few events later during the 800-meter run. The senior completed the race in 2:29.02 while
Sophie Niekamp was right behind her (2:30.00).
Rounding out Kenyon's best performances where
Grace McManus in the 400-meter dash and
Quinn Harrigan in the 1-mile run. McManus claimed seventh place (1:05.05) while Harrigan took eighth in 5:41.81.
