Brown, Sobel collect USTFCCCA All-Region awards

NEW ORLEANS -- All-Region honorees for the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season were announced  recently by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Included on the list were Kenyon College student-athletes Anna Brown and Ari Sobel.

Brown, a senior, claimed the honor in two events—the 800-meter run and the mile run. Sobel, a sophomore, hit the mark in the 400-meter run.

During the course of the indoor season, Brown was crowned both All-Ohio and North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) champion in the 800. At the conference meet, she also placed third in the mile, setting the new Kenyon program record at 3:59.10.

Sobel set personal records in the 60-, 200-, and 400-yard dashes during the indoor campaign. At the NCAC Championship, she had a runner-up finish in the 400 and set the program record at 57.61.

Additionally, in relay competition, both Brown and Sobel were a part of Kenyon's record-setting 4x400-meter team, while Sobel was a part of the Owls' 4x200-meter record-setting squad.

The USTFCCCA divides NCAA Division III institutions into ten regions, with Kenyon fitting into the Great Lakes Region. The top eight individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top eight relay teams.

The All-Region awards were the second and third of Brown's career, but the first for Sobel.
