Owls secure another academic award from USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, La. - All-Academic Teams for the 2024 Women's NCAA Division III cross country season were announced Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Among the honored teams were the Kenyon College Owls.

The Kenyon women earned the USTFCCCA honor with a team grade point average of 3.64. That mark greatly improved on last season's 3.30 grade point average and extended the program's run to 19 consecutive years earning the academic award.

In order to qualify, a team needed to register a cumulative grade point average of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale.

Directed by second-year head coach Kirk Shellhouse, the Owls had three top-10 team results, including a sixth-place showing in the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship.
